The holiest of nights is almost here. This is a picture from one of our Village Preschool Nativity stories. I hope you plan to join us for one of our Christmas Eve services tomorrow. Our Children and Family Worship service with music by The Gathering Band will be at 5 p.m. Then we will have our Traditional Candlelight worship services at 7 and 9 p.m. with our Traditional Candlelight Communion service at 11 p.m. We’ll be having one service at 10 a.m. on Christmas Sunday. Children are encouraged to worship with their families.
Please note that there will be no Children’s Church School, nursery or toddler care on Christmas Day. There will be nursery and toddler care on New Year’s Day.
Also, our 8 a.m. radio broadcast on 1660 AM on Christmas morning will be a recording of our Dec. 18 Tidings of Joy Concert.
We return to our regular morning worship schedule on New Year’s Day. The Gathering will return on January 8.
Worship This Sunday
On Christmas Morning, we will read the Christmas Story, sing carols and I’ll share a story from Presbyville. Village Church will be closed on Monday, Dec. 26.
Get your Christmas ornament today!
For those who have not received the ceramic Christmas ornament, we still have a limited quantity available. You may stop by the reception desk at the south entrance to pick one up today or you can schedule a pick-up by calling Molly Sirridge, 913-671-2325. The custom ornament has a picture of the newly renovated chancel and pipe organ.

Gifts of Stock and Securities
At year end, many of you gift through a transfer of stocks and securities. It is very helpful to know about stock transfers in advance, and to know how to credit the gift. We have an account set up to receive these transfers. The spring 2017 Village U curriculum is a wide umbrella encompassing all our adult learning opportunities in one, easy-to-find location. Village Church is a learning community with a long commitment to providing opportunities for adults—young and older—to grow in knowledge and faith together. We hope you will spend some time discovering all that is available.
• Child care will be available for most classes for a one-time $40 fee for the spring term; reservations will be required in advance.
• Some classes will have a small fee for materials and resources; the fees are noted in the class listing.
• You will be able to register online, by telephone, by fax or by email. Registration for Village U 2017 spring term: • For Village Church members: Registration begins on Wednesday, Jan. 11. • For community members: Registration begins on Tuesday, Jan. 17.
